History
The beginning of his activity in the field of organ construction goes back to 1972, and in 1985 he settles in Tordesillas (Valladolid).
Since then, we have been living in Spain a fascinating process of transformation of concepts and practices in the field of organ building, especially regarding the restoration of historical organs. Our workshop has taken an active part in that process, delving into the knowledge of the instruments and their building techniques, and putting together a team of specialists with the necessary equipment to face the current challenges that the restoration of ancient organs and the construction of new ones entail.
Several important works have been carried out in different Spanish regions, both on the peninsula and the islands, as well as in Portugal, Ibero-America and Europe.
Currently, seven highly qualified professionals work at the workshop permanently, collaborating with other specialists for specific works, such as restoration of polychromies, historical research, etc.
Our work philosophy lays emphasis on the retrieval of the traditional techniques and the knowledge of the different schools. We conceive each new instrument as a research work, both restorations and brand new organs.
Given the great effort that, in so many senses, the construction or restoration of an organ requires, we believe that the expectations of quality, functionality and longevity should always be guaranteed, for the sake of music, for it is only then when it is worth putting your heart and soul in each and every work.
The facilities were built and made suitable specifically to carry out organ-building handcrafted works, and their size allows all the people that bring this workshop to life to work there comfortably.
